Department of Ophthalmology

Professor Abdul Rasheed Qamar graduated from King Edward Medical College (now King Edward Medical University) Lahore in 1979.

Just after graduation he joined Pakistan Army Medical Corps. During his army service he passed his FCPS examination in Ophthalmology in 1983. After serving in various CMHs, he was released from Pakistan Army in 1989.  

Then he served in Sir Ganga Ram hospital, Lahore, Post Graduate Medical Institute/ Lahore General Hospital, Lahore, King Edward Medical College, American Eye Centre and University College of Medicine (The University of Lahore).

He has 10 research papers published in journals recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. He has presented his original research papers in national and international conferences.

He joined Continental Medical College in July 2011 as Professor and Head of Ophthalmology Department.

Dr.Col.(R). Iftikhar Ahmad(Assistant Professor)

Graduated in 1980 from Nishtar Medical College. Did MCPS in 1987 and FCPS in 1996. Served in Pakistan Army till 2003 in the capacity of Eye Specialist and consultant in various Combined Military Hospitals. presently serving  in CMC as Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology since March, 2008.
